My experience working with Barton of the Student Den as my SAT coach was amazing. I never thought I would have had such an understanding of all the material. All it took was one meeting a week for about 6 weeks and lots of dedication! For the first few weeks it's an overload of information and understanding what you need to work on, from there the most insanely helpful test tips are given and by the last two weeks all you want to do is prepare for your SAT. I would recommend Barton and the entire Student Den to everyone. Besides growing in the SAT curriculum, the skills I was assisted with are useful in all of my other test taking. While I just took my SAT post coaching (10/1), I am so confident my scores went up greatly. Besides knowing everything about math and reading, Barton is so personable and makes sure you're actually picking up on the material. I am a very visual person and by the first session, he already had noticed that and from there everything was written and out and explained in such detail! If you're not sure if SAT coaching is really useful, you have to check out the Student Den! At first i was skeptical, but I am so glad I started my SAT coaching.

The student den is a great place for kids to build their confidence and get ahead in school. Barton's Empowermates are really a great crew - knowledgeable and good tutoring their peers. Moreover, Barton gratly improves SAT scores too! Not only did my kid improve, but his friends who took the class with him did also!

I took my son to the Student Den because he was totally uninterested in school and was barely passing. He was not happy about going but got into a routine of doing his homework there. I have to say he did get his work done and while he'll never be an "A" student, if it weren't for the Student Den, I'm not sure he would have even graduated.

Having taken the ACT a few times before with the assistance of a different company I was not scoring what I was hoping to score. But from recommendations of previous students I deiced to try the Student Den. Barton Charplin, the owner, worked one-on-one with me. He created a comfortable environment, where I felt I could really get the answers I need. He thoroughly explained why I made the mistakes that I did as well as helped me get a better understanding of the test. I really would recommend his work for someone who needs help with the ACT or the SAT. I saw extreme results and am happy with what I got on the ACT.
