- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is always fair! The amount varies according to the level of editing involved. I usually charge per word, but sometimes it's a flat project fee. Language arts and writing tutoring is an hourly rate. I do offer a discount prepayment option.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we have an extensive phone conversation so I can learn about you and your project. Then, I usually ask for a written sample of work to determine how I can best help you. For students, we schedule a first lesson, which includes a brief evaluation and we proceed from there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Harvard University B.A. in English; Lesley University Master's in Education; over 25 years of experience, including school administration, private tutoring, and editing; Adjunct Professor of English Composition & American Literature; and published author. Most importantly, I'm meticulous, patient and conscientious.
