FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will start with a phone consultation and get to know each other before your session. My goal is to provide the best quality images and match the photography session with the type of images you would like. Confidence in your photographer to capture you in just the right way technically and artistically is my ultimate end goal.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started shooting in the film days and processing my own images in the dark room. This was truly an education as I could see first hand if you get it right in the camera then you can enhance a great image to look even better. This has made me a better photographer because I can see why things work, or don't work from the inside out. Gear will make a difference! I have quality lenses, cameras that have a large megapixel and quality sensor to capture the image, off camera flashes, reflectors to enhance lighting, These will make a visible difference especially in harder conditions such as harsh daylight or dim lighting situations. Recently, I have trained under and assisted with Sony Artisan of Imagery and world renowned photographer Jason Lanier. He is an award winning photographer out of Los Angeles. I continue to study and learn and update skills. As technology changes, so do I. My gear is some of the most advanced and newest technology available today.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started by helping my father years ago shoot weddings. He instilled the love of creating images that tell a story and evoke emotion. If you can look at images and feel such strong emotion that you begin to cry with joy of recalling your special event then you will know you hired the right photographer.
