FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, a monthly tuition is paid based on half hour, 45 minute and hour lessons. Tuition for weekly half hour lessons would be $80 per month. Weekly 45 minute lessons are $120 per month and weekly hour lessons are $160 per month.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first lesson with the student and/or parent covers goals and expectations. It is important to learn about what music the student is interested in, or what the parent would like for the child to gain from piano lessons. Briefly, we will discuss the students musical background. An important part of learning piano is practice, so I will ask whether a student or not has an instrument to practice with. For materials I usually recommend a spiral notebook, 3 ring binder for music and assignments, and to bring any and all music that has been studied-- if any. After getting to know the student I follow up with an email recommending music (with links to buy online), theory books, or further comments regarding the students success.
