I would certainly recommend this company. We booked last minute they were responsive and put me at ease. Our access wasn’t the best but the guys were super quick. You could tell they were very experienced. By far the most straight forward and easy moving experienced I've had to date. One of the best moving services I've yet to experience! I had 3 movers for my 2 bedroom / 2.5 bath town home. Flexibility of time: I had to switch my appointment the day before when I found out my closing got delayed. They took care of me without any questions asked Great crew (team of 3): huge shout out to Yuri and his team!! They are polite, great attitude, and most importantly, very careful with you stuff! I see them putting things down very lightly on wooden floor as they help me put things in my new home! Very professional! -Movers showed up 30 minutes late, despite being given an hour window to arrive (9-10am). -Movers only had 3 of the 5 wardrobe boxes promised in the contract, leaving clothing behind that I had to move the next day -Movers moved with no sense of urgency -Bed was reassembled very far from wall. I had to remove the mattress and drawers to get the heavy frame against the wall. -Didn't reassemble couch. Movers offered, but they were moving slow as it was, so we personally put the couch back together while they unloaded to expedite the move. -People mover's told me a manager would get back to me after I made these comments over email. Hi Ryan, Thank you for your review. Sometimes we wish there was a website where movers could leave reviews on customers... :) Before I proceed with my response I wanted to say that our movers are hardworking guys whose income significantly depends on customer's satisfaction and the gratitude they receive for their work. They always do their best to make sure the customer is happy. In the rare occasions we mess up, we bend over and backwards to make it right by the customer. When you submitted your request you indicated that you were moving ONE 1BR apartment. Nothing serious nothing extra heavy, no challenges with parking, no long walk… We provided two guys and estimated 3 HR for this very straight forward move. We also scheduled another customer for that crew in the afternoon. When our crew arrived it turned out there is ONE 1 BR apartment on the 3rd floor and ANOTHER ONE on the 5th (!) from which you were moving a large couch and a full bedroom. At your destination address they realized that there is a very long walk to the building because the closest spot where a vehicle could park was pretty far from the entrance – the fact you never mentioned even though we specifically asked about this. There were two CRITICAL pieces of information that you either intentionally or by mistake failed to provide to us before the move. This significantly extended the time our crew spent on your move and we had to urgently re-route other trucks in order to move a customer we scheduled after you that day. This caused a lot of frustration and confusion. As per the wardrobes, there is nothing in the contract that states we provide 5 wardrobes! We indicate in our quotes and our estimates that we provide “up to five wardrobes free of charge during the move”! You never requested 5 wardrobes and you did not provide the amount of clothing you were moving. “Up to five” means anywhere between zero and five! Not five. Have you requested or indicated that you might need 5 wardrobes those would have been in the truck for you. …Free of charge during the move. Lastly, the space between your bed and the WALL ... As it is very obvious from the photo you uploaded, the bed was put next to a WINDOW. Movers left some space there so that you could access the window. If you had a different personal preference, you should have been there to indicate that you need your bed closer to the window. That is it! We appreciate your business with us but we do not appreciate the fact that you were not honest with us when scheduled your move or with other potential customers when posted your inaccurate review.
I have to say that when I started the process of looking for a mover and getting quotes I was nervous. Horror stories I read of movers not showing up or going way over their estimates were swirling in my mind as I researched. I received four quotes from moving companies. I did my homework, checked each company on the UTC website and read a lot of reviews. People Movers responded to my e-mail quickly and then followed up with a phone call. They asked very specific questions that helped them give me the most accurate estimate that they could. At the end of the day their quote was not only the lowest but they were the most responsive and electronic friendly. I confirmed my booking via phone and received an e-mail confirmation shortly afterward. I was told I would get a confirmation call the day before the move. Guess what? I absolutely got that call and they answered any last minute concerns I had. Jamel and Oleg showed up early the next morning and went right to work after a short conversation with me about what was being moved. They hauled butt up and down 4 flights of stairs of my old place in record time! I've never seen two people work harder or faster to get things done. They wrapped things up and met me at the new place and unloaded just as quickly. I ended up saving money because they finished faster than what was estimated. I was so pleased that I gave them each a good tip. They deserved it and I only wished I had more to give them that day. They never hung around or moved slowly. I never felt like I needed to watch my stuff. I am truly impressed. At the end they went over the invoice with me and asked me to sign. I would definitely recommend these guys.Oct 7, 2017Verified

However, we will do our best to accommodate your request even the next day. Provide us as much detail about the move as possible. Ideally we would like to have an accurate list of furniture, boxes, and miscellaneous items (room by room). Don't have the list? Give us a call and our friendly representative will assist you. If you are moving large and heavy items such as TVs, gym equipment, bathtubs, Murphy beds, water mattresses, electric beds, pianos etc. please let us know. This way we will give you a more accurate time estimate and make sure we arrive prepared. Some moves may require a free, in-home estimate.
