Emily Kistler Photography
About this pro
Emily was easy and fun to work with. She spent time learning about the event as well as post the shoot hand delivered the pictures in a usb (beautiful bag). Lots of photographers are great on the event date but beyond that it is so hard to get in touch with them. Emily is a true professional. The pictures have come out really well as well. Thankyou Emily for making our day special !Apr 29, 2018Verified
Emily was extremely thoughtful and thorough in preparing for and executing our family shoot for our daughter's first birthday. The pictures turned out soooo beautifully, and I had my gallery and files in short order. I also ordered cards through Emily and I am very pleased with the quality. We are continuing to work together to order some prints I wanted to frame. Attention to detail and professionalism abound!Jan 18, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I offer several session options including mini sessions (30 minutes), full sessions (1 - 1.5 hours), and event sessions. See my website at emilykistlerphoto.com/sessions for more information on session pricing and details. I also offer special packages, such as holiday sessions, throughout the year. You can find information on what promotions are available at emilykistlerphoto.com/sales-and-promotions. All sessions include digital files and photo editing, which includes color correction and minor blemish reduction. Some sessions include a print credit, which can be applied to prints, albums, cards, etc. More extensive photo editing, such as wrinkle reduction, is available for an additional fee. All clients can add additional prints to their order.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I start each client off with a pre-session consultation to determine what their goals are for the photo shoot (specific poses, props, and clothing) as well as their plans for the photos (prints, albums, digital files, holiday cards, etc). I use the pre-session consultation to identify any potential issues, such as children who are shy and may take some time to warm up to a photographer. Pre-session consultations can be completed over the phone but I encourage my clients to meet with me in person to help develop a connection and improve your portraits. Some sessions include a post-consultation session (approximately 2 weeks after the photo session) to review their photographs and help them select images for prints.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and have completing a number of trainings through PPA. I have also completed training through the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg, FL, including classes on Lightroom and Photoshop. Continuing education is key to providing the best service, and I will always be looking for more training/education related to photography.
