FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We consult with a client to learn about the specific issues they have with their dogs, encourage them to view our website and social media accounts, and meet them to initiate a training contract. We schedule training sessions for 1:1 clients or arrange pick-up and drop-off for day training appointments or board and train packages.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have studied with various master trainers throughout the country, have trained many personal dogs, and have helped friends and family with behavior modification for their dogs prior to becoming professionals. We continue to participate in shadow programs with master trainers to learn additional techniques and hone our craft.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
We both owned dogs with behavior problems. Marilyn struggled with her first dog, Jack for years before finding a balanced trainer who fixed longstanding problems very quickly. Tom rescued a junkyard dog and worked to help her integrate into his family. Friends and family had similar struggles and we helped them in the same way we were taught. We realized our passion and natural abilities overlapped in this area and started to pursue additional training to initiate a business.
