Commonwealth Renovations did exactly what they said by removing our popcorn ceilings and taking them to a smooth finish. Looks like new construction! They were very professional, always on time and completed the job in the timeline quoted by Charles. We couldn't be more pleased and will hire Commonwealth Renovations for future projects. Thank you Charles and team!

This was my first time hiring out some tile work. Let me start by saying that the communication with Commonwealth was fairly good. We did most of our connecting via text, which works great for me. When the gentlemen came out to re-tile my shower floor, they were very kind. Any questions I had, they answered, and they stayed on track while working. They even put down a tarp on my floor so as to keep it clean. When it came time to lay the tile, they made the choice to lay the new tile over the existing. As I've never walked through this process before, I assumed that this was standard practice. However, once the tile (a good-quality marble mosaic), there were some noticeable ripples in the tile. As well, there were some spacing issues in the tile that were preventable. I also noted that some of the tiles were higher or lower than the surrounding tiles, making for an uneven surface. After grouting was complete, my initial observations were confirmed, in that various tiles popped up above or sunk below neighboring tiles. I had asked for a bit of additional grout work to be done to patch and repair some pre-existing issues in the shower walls and ceiling. The workers obliged, but their handiwork didn't completely cover some of the gaps and was uneven or even missing in a few areas. All in all, the final product looks nice, but the quality of work done leaves something to be desired. I'm satisfied, but not thrilled with the level of craftsmanship.
