Introduction: We play old-school swing and jazz music (both instrumental and singing) with a bit of a gypsy jazz flavor. Some of the artists we draw from are Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, Lester Young, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Django Reinhardt, and Artie Shaw. We play music for listening and dancing, whether it's for a wedding, a party, a festival, ambiance, active listening, or the big swing dance.
Our passion is our work. We love to sing, make music, dance, educate, inspire, and preserve the authenticity of vintage jazz dance and music. We enjoy warming hearts by sharing our love of jazz and swing.

My fiancée, Schuyler, and I heard the Moonshine Rhythm Club playing in downtown Franklin last year, and we became instant fans. We hired the band to play at our wedding in November, and they were an instant hit with our guests as well. Eric, Eddie, and all the members of the band are a true delight, and they will work closely with you in advance to tailor the music and its presentation to create the perfect atmosphere for your special occasion.
The New Orleans-inspired and gypsy-jazz stylings of the Moonshine Rhythm Club created the perfect ambience and musical backdrop for our special evening. From well known pop standards such as Blue Skies and Pennies from Heaven to hot jazz numbers like Django Reinhardts Limehouse Blues, every tune in the bands considerable repertoire is played with masterful skill and a verve that will make you exceedingly grateful this music is alive, well, and in the best of hands.

Moonshine Rhythm Club provided a nice layering of textures in all of their songs, which gave me a lot of room to play with the music while I danced. They also had a good range of tempos and musical "feels." The band was professional and timely, and I look forward to hearing how they continue to develop.

The Moonshine Rhythm Club played a fantastic performance for our weekly dance and we had a large group of local dancers come out specifically to hear the band. They had a great energy and attitude during the session and kept the social dance floor packed. Their selection of music was spot-on and geared toward social Lindy hop and swing dance styles and reflected their talent well. We even had a few dancers promise to follow up with the band members for other, private arrangements of their own in the future. We would love to have the Moonshine Rhythm Club join us again for another great night of we can make those plans! Thanks so much!

We really enjoyed MRC - they were kind and gracious, delivered wonderful music for dancing, and were timely with pre-performance communications. They had a set list already made up, but were able to adjust to the mood of the room and the desires of the dancers present at the dance. Well done!
