FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start by exchanging preliminary information over email or phone, like the size, scope and vision of the project. I want to understand what my client is hoping to do with the project and also what audience they are hoping to reach. From there, we start making a plan together, sometimes I help them with the script, then we prepare to shoot. After the shoot is complete, I take some time to edit, usually a week or two depending on workload. Then I submit the project to the client for review and possibly notes. Afterwards, I fix the notes and submit the final project to the client.

- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fell in love with video production and photography in college. I never knew you could do it for a career until I started working for the university newspaper. I started as a writer, then a photographer, and even some graphic design. Once I graduated, however, I was frustrated by photography because I could rarely get the feeling of motion that I saw with my eyes to come out in my photos. I also was doing photo sequences to tell a story through pictures. That's when I realized I needed to get into video production. So, I borrowed a Canon XL-1 from my church and shot my first youth group video, which I edited on my old apple G3 bondi. It was a hit, and I was hooked.
