Introduction: A graduate with honors of the New England Conservatory of Music with a Masters degree in jazz voice performance. In addition to having a private studio, I teach at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music in Park Slope and at the famous Jalopy Theater and School of Music in Red Hook. I teach all ages and ability levels, and am looking to work with individuals who are extremely passionate and interested in learning.
I teach various styles of music -- Pop, Broadway, Classical, Jazz, and songwriting. As a seasoned performer, I tour and perform regularly with my own group, playing in New York at famous venues such as "Sleep No More," Ginny's Supper Club, The Flatiron Room, Rockwood Music Hall, Caffe Vivaldi and Jazz at the Kitano Room.
My teaching philosophy focuses heavily on development of proper vocal technique, through the exploration and singing of popular music from jazz, folk, pop and broadway realms.
I also offer semi-private and group classes in songwriting, lyric writing, and harmony singing.

In short, Neha is AMAZING! Not only does my 4 year old son take piano lessons with her but even my wife has signed on for vocal training. Her knowledge level and professionalism are exceptional and she strikes a perfect balance between challenging her students but also keeping it fun and engaging.
I would absolutely recommend her services to anyone seeking to learn, develop or enhance their musical knowledge and training.

Neha has been teaching piano to my daughter for a year (from 5-6 years old). She is an outstanding teacher. Neha has taught my daughter to love piano and most importantly, I have witnessed my daughter's transition from painfully shy and self conscious to demanding an audience for her piano exercises. Neha is flexible, resourceful and joyful as a teacher.

Neha has been teaching both my daughters 7&9 for 2 years. In those two years my girls have quickly learned how to read music and play the piano! Neha has a way about her, my girls love to play and feel confident accomplishing any musical adventure Neha brings them on. I would highly recommend Neha and her experience speaks for itself!

Neha is a wonderful teacherkind, caring and extremely patientand an incredible, multi-talented musician. Shes been giving our nine-year-old daughter vocal lessons for two years.
