Cortney has done many different shoots for me: headshots for my website and social media, glamour shots and fun creative portrait shoots in stunning and challenging outdoor locations (sunrise shoots in Sedona and Cadillac Ranch, Texas, etc). Cortney is such a JOY to work with: very open, collaborative, playful and creative, with a confident pro perspective for what works and what doesn't. She has an incredible eye for movement: her photos feel very ALIVE. She also has a way for making me feel very comfortable in front of camera (which doesn’t come naturally for me:), so I can relax, enjoy the shoot and let the best of me emerge. Her post-production skills are also superb: she doesn’t rest until the shot is just right, making sure the end result is both beautiful and powerful. I worked with Cortney on three different portrait photo shoots and she never ceases to amaze me with her creativity, dedication and professionalism. She clearly communicates her own vision, but simultaneously creates a comfortable atmosphere that allows her models to express their own creativity and have fun. Cortney is an absolute joy to work with! She has an extraordinary creative eye which has allowed her to capture amazing moments on camera. From movement in dance and live music performance to tender or silly moments in portraits and also professional headshots. Cortney is unique because she is able to do a wide range of work. We hired Cortney for our wedding in September 2016. Cortney is wonderful, creative, flexible and energetic. She was able to capture our special moments of the day starting at the hotel getting ready, at the church ceremony, and into the evening at the reception. Cortney has a wonderful eye for detail and took really beautiful staged and candid shots of my husband and I and friends. The only area where I wish I had more of is pictures with my family. This is my first wedding (and hopefully the last!), so I advise any bride and groom to really provide as much direction to the wonderful individuals that contribute to making your day so special because the day of the event you will be so busy/happy that you may not remember or have time to provide the direction needed to achieve the most desired outcome. Overall, we were really happy with the result and our family took enough pictures on their cameras. I would highly recommend Courtney for any event if you're looking for a skilled photographer with great energy.
