Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have over 10 years of professional carpentry experience. My educational and professional focus has been in both construction and architecture. I always want to have consultation with customers prior to agreeing to doing any work to be sure that my best effort will meet their expectations! I love watching the stages of progression. It is pretty amazing to watch something transform from a design on a page or an image in your head into actual product, knowing that it was a collaborated effort and that more than you are because of it

Glenn did a great job on my deck which was a floating deck and a complex build. He sourced all the proper materials (Trex deck boards). He paid attention to detail and also did not deviate from the price that was quoted. After this I used Glenn for a full bathroom renovation which he also did a great job on.

Details: New deck or porch construction • No existing plans, but I know what I want • Residential

I needed Glenn to replace my kitchen cabinets. Out of the quotes I received, his was most affordable and the pictures of his previous work looked the best. I really wanted someone who was able to work on it in the evening after I got off work and Glenn was happy accommodate me, working until 11pm for a few days. He took his time to carefully explain what work he would be doing. I even mentioned some door that someone else told me needed to be replaced. Glenn was very honest and explained that he could simply re-hinge the door and that a door replacement was an unnecessary expense. I will definitely keep his contact information handy for any other repair needs I have.

Glenn was very professional. He came in and gave me a quick estimate once he saw the space. His price was competitive but his estimated time to completion was remarkable. I needed my store front re tiled and painted. Approximately 700 sq ft. All other contractors estimated a similar price but a 3-4 week turn around. Glenn estimated a 4 day project. He finished it in 5...I'm still impressed! It was a great job. Very skilled. Thanks Glenn.

Glenn built a beautiful deck for our family. The wood is Ipe and Cedar, difficult material to work with, but Glenn knew what he was doing. A real pro. He takes his work very seriously and always asked us for our opinions before doing something. He was totally great about making sure we were happy with the final results and made any change we requested. He also showed up every day and early to get a head start on the work and finished on time. I would hire Glenn again to do any other carpentry or home project I have.

Glenn was great! He was very kind. As always, I'm concerned about being overcharged for handy work because I'm a woman. But Glenn talked with me prior to giving me a quote and asked for photos to really assess the work. I needed posts in my stair banister replaced. He ultimately gave me a more than fair price and really put time and effort into making sure that the work was done correctly. He is the best type of perfectionist. I will definitely call on him again. Thank you Glenn.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I thought of a career that I would enjoy and would hold my interest. I graduated from college with a degree in Architecture. I chose that discipline because I enjoyed the concepts, but primarily because I was good at it. I had a natural skill. During college and after graduation, I had opportunities to move beyond the design stage and really get involved in the work hands on as well. It gives me great joy to be part of the process and orchestrate it all, from nothing to something or even the transition of before and after.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently demolished and then rebuilt a deck/boating dock. It was a fun project that really allowed me to start from beginning to end. (PS. I'm really fond of all my projects.)
