FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every client represents a new challenge and opportunity. From the consult to your first session, we need to find out your current level of fitness. From there, we get a feel of your past training history, likes and dislikes, ultimately to find out what type of exercises may help you best. I try to only make one small change at a time in your every day life. I'm not trying to change your life, but rather better it gradually. You'll make progress right away and I'll help teach you to the tools to continue to do so in and out of the studio.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied at SUNY Brockport for Exercise Physiology. I've attended many fitness seminars, events, speakers, and my favorite--hands on exhibitions. Since 2006, I've been learning and studying as much as I possibly can to best help my clients. I am a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have loved fitness since I was young, playing sports and always active. At 19, I became a personal trainer. However, as I got older I realized that there was much more to fitness than just avoiding junk food and getting to the gym. It can be frustrating and complex at times, but my main goal for clients is to make things as simple as possible--I'll provide the support and resources needed to help you in and out of the gym.
