Introduction: Price listed is per month. I cater teaching and performing to individual clients. I perform and teach solo and chamber music which can be jazz, classical or popular music; performing to fit the venue and music wanted for various events; and for students- selections appropriate for teaching the individual client. I use music theory games and board games to reinforce learning concepts for younger students. I try to incorporate music theory in teaching and try utilizing appropriate technology including apps that are applicable to what they are learning. Try to stay current to make learning fun. Theory games and improv to make learning fun! I enjoy helping people succeed and gain confidence in their own ability for students who study with me. I enjoy sharing the love of music. Music Theory classes starting now! Group classes online. Practice workshops and Horn Boot Camp over summer. Studio classes online. I enjoy performing for all sorts of clients and making their event a memorable one. All types of performances available from educational, ceremonies & parties. Various styles chamber music & possibly jazz combo w vocals.

Mrs. Deane was a wonderful music instructor for my first grade students. She was always extremely professional, organized, kind, and she delivered her instruction at a very kid-friendly level. Mrs. Deane did a great job setting my students up for success. Their confidence with playing the recorder grew tremendously over the six weeks of their lessons. I was very impressed with how fast they learned these new skills and how they responded so well to Mrs. Deane's lessons. Overall, she was great!

Cindy taught my first grade student to play the pre-recorder. She was enthusiastic, well prepared and very professional. My students learned how to play simple songs in just a few weeks! Cindy’s love of music and working with students is very apparent!

My class of second graders waited with anticipation for Cindy to come through our classroom door each Monday. She always came in with a well prepared lesson which allowed the kids to easily pick up the pre-recorder and find success. She had loads of patience with the children and the class had loads of fun. I would have never guessed the children could pick up playing an instrument so fast. Amazing!!

I was a teacher in the school district that Cindy Deane works as a colloborative part time instructor. I had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Deane for 2 years. With other professionals, Mrs. Deane is very kind and considerate. She has shared a variety of ideas and exercises with me that have enabled me to become a better educator. She cares about the growth of the students and came extremely prepared for the short weekly lessons to best utilize her time with them. My daughter had a wonderful experience dealing with Cindy. She's is flexible with our busy schedule. My daughter learn french horn from cindy since middle school. She is now playing in her high school band and was able to played anything quickly . She owed it to cindy for having good tone. She improved very quickly through Cindy methods of teaching. Cindy is patients and also took real interest in my daughter ability. I'm glad my daughter have such a great teacher. Thank you Cindy!

I have a Master’s if Music in Horn Performance from University of Michigan. I’ve been teaching since high school- over 25 years. I’ve taught in the schools; educational performances at schools; worked at youth symphonies; teaching assistant for preschool music; designed curriculum for preschool and kinder music; performed in Seattle Symphony children’s shows...and more. Many years of vocal instruction and singing all styles.
