Pup-Walk Dog Service
About this pro
My Wife and I had a Cocker Spaniel named Maggie who was getting up in years. She was having a hard time controlling her bladder and needed to be walked a few times per day. Randy the owner of Pup-Walk was highly recommended by a friend of ours. I reached out to him and he promptly called me back to set up an appointment to come meet us. He was very professional/clean cut and had a nice presentation. Maggie immediately trusted him (she still barks at our neighbors!) but took to him quickly. His pricing was more than fair and his communications skills were excellent. We always knew where we stood with him. Not only did he walk Maggie, he also gave us feedback on her health/mood and was very informative when we asked him about her nutritional needs. Unfortunately, Maggie died last week due to health complications. Randy made her last few months comfortable and put our minds at ease knowing we had a reliable/caring/honest person taking care of Maggie. I would certainly recommend him to anyone. Randy was very helpful and professional during our initial consultation. His passion for helping and working with dogs is immediately evident. We have yet to fully evaluate his services but at this point I can confidently say that Randy is a trusted resource.Jan 2, 2018Verified
He really showed me some great tricks for training my dog and was always a pleasure to work with.Nov 25, 2017Verified
Pupwalk is an amazing service! Randy has trained my rescue dog, who has tons of energy and has anxiety issues, to calm down, chill, and overall he is a much happier dog. If you need training and or dog walking, or both, I would highly recommend him. He not only walks your dog, and trains him, but he will show you how to properly walk your dog and be involved in solo or family training so everyone can see how it works!Apr 20, 2018

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing for all services is as follows: Walking: $15 per half-hour (per dog), and $8 for each additional dog; $30 per hour (per dog), and $15 for each additional dog. Training: $20 per half-hour (per dog), and $10 for each additional dog; $40 per hour (per dog), and $20 for each additional dog.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? All services start with a 'Meet & Greet', wherein I come to the customer's home to meet them and their pup(s). I assess their particular situation -- if training or behavioral modification is required -- and find out precisely what the family wants to accomplish. Details concerning the dog's breed, sex, age, physical issues, allergies, likes and dislikes -- including aversion(s) to heat, cold, humidity, thunder, etc. -- are notated, and a schedule for services is determined. A customized guidance or tip sheet for the client and their family is created -- usually within a couple weeks -- which details how everyone involved should reinforce and otherwise support all training, as it's usually the humans who need to be (re)trained as well(!)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have over 25 years of experience working with dogs, including training, behavioral modification, walking, feeding, and exercise monitoring (in cases wherein customers have a fenced-in area where their pups can run free for exercise).
