FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to be as cost friendly as possible. Landscaping is a high overhead business when you factor in fuel, insurance, and equipment costs. My goal with every job is to find a price point that works for me and the customer. Most of my jobs end up being hourly paid. I feel like this is the best way for the customer to get the most for their dollar. The customer will never pay for my lunch break.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know my customers needs, price points, etc. from the very beginning. I communicate through email, text, and Facebook messenger mostly as it seems to be the most efficient way to connect. Of course I am always happy to communicate via phone but calls end up being returned at lunch or mid evening as I try not to be on the phone while working unless it is an emergency.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed pesticide applicator in the state of Massachusetts. I have received training and am knowledgeable in both synthetic and organic products. I have been trained and managed by some of the local industry's most accomplished lawn care and landscape exerts. I spent 10 years at a very well known and established company before striking out on my own and in those years I learned a lot of most aspects of the job. I attended, and passed the UMass extension Green School program in 2012. This was a 6 week course featuring abridged course material and lectures from many experts.
