Thank you for such kind words. Cindy is absolutely delightful and incredibly easy to work with. Anyone would be extremely fortunate to have her as a client. -fp2
I highly recommend Frye Photo to EVERYONE. His work is beyond perfect. He really takes pride in your job. It was a joy working with him. I’ll be using him for my complete photo collection, which WAS a daunting task. But now that I know Tim, it doesn’t seem so daunting anymore. I’m a perfectionist by nature. All my friends call me for recommendations. They say if they can please Debi...... My husband and I are very impressed.Mar 19, 2018VerifiedFrye Photo & Post's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We estimate your investment based on the total number of images you wish us to care for and the type of work to be done. We do our very best to provide quality and value that far outweigh your investment, and will ensure we’ve discussed the plan before we ever start a project. For the purpose of providing a quote, we do charge by the hour for conservation and restoration efforts unless we are able to evaluate the images in advance. We're happy to re-evaluate any quote if you're able to spend time providing us additional detail prior to the work being performed. Cell-phone pictures of the work to be done, are just perfect! Because our process is performed with care by hand, we are unable to compete with online mass-production services that use automated machinery (e.g. .68 cents per print scanned, etc.). If you are looking for a more cost-effective digitization service for a large volume of well-maintained images and do not need salvage, restoration, enhancement, or conservation work (help in saving your images), we are happy to refer you to a qualified and trusted partner that works at a volume-discount rate. Please ask for additional information. While we don't discount our professional services, we do provide occasional opportunities to reduce your investment by working multiple jobs in similar geographies (aka - invite a friend, share some cost).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We want the experience to be easy. We want to make sure expectations are always clear and met. And we want to ensure we deliver a level of quality above and beyond expectation. Our average job is 7 - 10 days once we start. It usually takes a day or two to get all the details in place and meet with a new client. Our first step is a conversation. We'll set expectations, talk about timeframes, schedule the work and then provide ongoing status and updates right up through delivery. When the work is ready to be delivered, we provide an online gallery for immediate access, display and download of your images, along with an ability to order prints, canvases and/or albums. Delivery of physical prints and original materials will be in-person unless otherwise requested by you, our client. We utilize a chain of evidence form to transfer physical media and guard your possessions with the utmost of respect, and the absolute maximum security and protection at all times. All our work is performed with no physical human contact in our lab and clean-room. And of course, at any time throughout our process, you are welcome to contact us. We provide our business and personal numbers for your convenience. We welcome the dialogue.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?As photographers, we've been behind the camera since we were very young (and color was an option, not the standard), and as image editors and retouchers we've been using our editing tools in one form or another since the early 90’s. We’re certified in multiple camera systems, and specifically in use of the camera systems (and commercial scanning systems) and software used for the digitization of your images. We are one of the very few certified photographic media conservators in the state to have achieved cultural heritage certification and have worked in conservancy and digital restoration for nearly 30 years. We are also Adobe, PhaseOne, and Hasselblad certified as users and educators at various levels. All of our staff spends time in on-going training and certification programs from vendors and application providers, and we are committed to the ongoing investment in all our future years. Our photographers, editors and retouchers alike, all hold various industry certifications and have achieved numerous awards and recognition for excellence. In 2018, we will spend over 300 hours (7 1/2 weeks) in advanced training programs.
