Introduction: I am a relaxed and engaging professional who works with couples seeking to create a deeply personal and entirely memorable wedding experience. Whether your wedding is held under a canopy of great trees, in a beautiful old barn, a historic venue, a beach at sunset, or a friend's backyard, I can help you create a memorable wedding. I specialize in helping couples who are looking for something simple, elegant, and - something a lot of pastors won't touch - an interfaith wedding or a wedding hosted outside a traditional church venue. I've presided at weddings for interfaith couples who are Christian and Jewish, Christian and Buddhist, and for couples who want a secular ceremony. I've officiated at weddings at Mackinac's Grand Hotel, Detroit's Masonic Temple, Presque Isle, Crane's Orchard/Fennville MI, Weller's Carriage House/Saline MI, and Stonebridge Country Club/Ann Arbor well as in parks, backyards, and beaches. My skills as a writer allow me to work with a couple to create a highly personalized wedding service. My speaking style is relaxed and professional, so your guests feel welcome and their focus remains entirely on you and the gorgeous venue you have chosen.

Pastor Kathy was perfect for our wedding a couple of years ago. She is organized, timely, and prepared to lead a very sweet ceremony for you. She has known my husband and I for several years prior to our wedding and we couldn't have imagined being married by anyone else and therefore only chose a ceremony location that allowed you to bring your own officiant. Kathy followed our lead of a basic ceremony and let us cater to certain things such as whether or not we wanted hymns sang, or passages read and what our specific vows to one another would be. Planning a wedding can be stressful but she won't make her portion feel hectic at all. We decided most of our ceremony over a quiet dinner together and between that and a couple of emails back and forth everything was in order. I have no regrets about my decision and highly recommend that you consider Kathy to officiate your own wedding so that you have (at least) one thing that won't bring you stress on the big day, because you know that she's got it covered.

Kathy officiated our wedding in 2014 and did an amazing job of accommodating our needs - a spiritual but welcoming ceremony for both our religious families and our friends from many walks of faith. We got many compliments on the service and I would recommend her for any wedding that requires a creative and flexible touch.

Pastor Kathy presided over my wedding in 2012. She did amazing with the curve balls we threw at her. 1. Our wedding was outdoors in August. 2. She would be performing the wedding at a civil war reenactment which would mean period pastoral garments. (Black robe) 3. Our ceremony and vows would fallow the 1860 lay out with only two insertions of modern weddings. 4. The ceremony would be in front of 100 invited guest and possibly thousands of people there for the reenactment. She didn't blink an eye she helped with research into period clothing and ceremonies. She made it through an extremely hot day in the sun in a black robe and with many people watching. I was impressed by her commitment to the day and making sure it was what we wanted.

Pastor Kathy is a gracious and competent minister. Every time I've heard her speak she's been relevant and personal, with just the right amount of humor mixed in for good measure.
