Terry was able to arrange to come by the same day I called and give us some great insight on the trouble we were having with water seeping in. Really honest and knowledgeable. He came out free of charge to give the estimate and took a look at the areas we were having problems. He gave us recommendations on landscaping to help with water flow away from the foundation which might solve our problem completely and prevent the need for any kind of repair.

I was very impressed with Skillful Construction. All of the guys were excellent and the work ethic was second to none. Been in this home for 13 years and they are definitely one of the best contractors I've had out for anything I can't do myself (which is not much). I have high standards and expectations, but not unreasonable. They met all of my expectations. It took MUCH longer than quoted, but we had a month and a half of almost straight rain so I can't hold that against the guys. You can't do foundation work in heavy rain... just doesn't work. They cleaned up the mess, repaired the concrete that had to be broken through (including a few sidewalk patches), and generally left the place in clean "as before" condition. Very impressed with that. I will be calling them for future work as they do more than just foundations. Thanks Terry, Daniel, Ed, and all the other guys for their exceptional effort and final result. Nice to not have a 5" drop from the front of our room to the back anymore.

What a fantastic experience! Ours is one of those situations where a company could have come in and pulled the wool over our eyes and made some money off of our Ignorance by doing work that did not need to be done. Not only did that not happen but Terry, the gentleman who came out to our home, went out of his way to be honest about the situation. What he told us was that our foundation did not have an appreciable problem. The problems we're having with cracks in the walls and sheetrocking coming loose is simply due to poor workmanship, not a surprise since this is a Rayco home. I fully expected a $10,000 to $20,000 expense. The only area he said that may need some attention at some point, however, is the area at the extreme back portion of the house near the back porch. And that is about a $3,000 expense when we decide to do it. But it's not an urgent thing at this time. My wife and I were happy for the good report, of course, but also extremely grateful for the professional approach taken by this company. We are definitely going to call them back to do the smaller job and we heartily commend this company to anyone needing an assessment of their Foundation or any kind of work on it. These guys do it right!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer inspections and in-home estimates. We bring the necessary equipment to analyze the condition of your foundation. Pricing is based on work to be performed. We have had to implement a $100 inspection fee and upon hiring, we return $200 off of your bill.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We schedule an appointment with the home owner to do our inspection. We let the customer know what we have determined. Then we email to the customer our proposal and contract for them to go over and decide if we fill their needs and fit their budget. If approved we schedule a starting date to perform the job.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been in the construction business for over 30 years and specializing in foundation repair for the past 15 years.
