FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Closet organization starts at $350 for the initial 3 hours. Each additional hour is $125. This is also based on a single closet. Prices can be negotiated for more than one closet. Closet audits at $200 for two hours. Each additional hour is $150. Personal styling/shopping services are $175 per hour. This can be either when we both go shopping together or I go on your behalf. The pulling or purchasing of items will be handled by the client as funding is concerned. (Clients are responsible for paying for any garment they so choose to be pulled or purchased for them). There is a $50 initial consultation fee for all projects to ensure that clients are fully aware of the service being offered and so that I can get a better idea of who I'll be styling.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I require an initial consultation to see clients in person and get an idea of their body type so as to better assist them with pieces that will compliment their body. For closet organization I focus on ensuring that the client has the basic essentials of a closet and getting rid of unnecessary items that are not being used. Thus making more room for new pieces. Therefore giving us a reason to go shopping! LOL! Closet audits consist of me coming into the clients current closet and basically shopping their closet for them. Showing them how to use what they have to be on trend without having to go and spend money on things they already own and just don't know how to put together. Personal Styling and Shopping services focus on what the client's main goal is. Whether it be to find an outfit for a specific event or to gain an entirely new wardrobe. I then either take the client with me to shop or go and shop on my own to pick out pieces that correlate with the goal of the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have styled for Derrick Rutledge (Oprah's personal makeup artist) , We Can-Cervive fashion shows (benefits the nonprofit organization that supports cancer survivors and individuals who are currently undergoing treatment and their families), DC Indie Fashion Week, and numerous Lord and Taylor fashion related events. I have also recently worked with the former Mrs. DC America.
