- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do not have a standard pricing system. Some stagers will price per square foot or per room. However, we feel that each property and job is unique and contain many variables. That is why we do not give pricing without personally seeing a property. Sometimes, we are able to give pricing based on photos as well. By seeing a property in person, our quotes are personalized to that client and that job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin by doing a complimentary walkthrough of a client's property, during which we take notes and photos. Then, we email the client a pricing quote and staging plan, usually within 24 hours of conducting the walkthrough. Once the client accepts our proposal, we schedule the dates (typically two days) for staging.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had a passion for the visual arts and for design. After working in the arts for several years, I became friends with a local interior designer who introduced me to the world of home staging. I was hooked immediately and knew that this was my "calling".
