I have known and worked with Steve for many years. He is truly concerned about the mental health needs of his patients and their families. He has excellent written and verbal communication skills, extremely organized, works independently and able to follow through to ensure job gets done. He is always willing to offer assistance and has excellent rapport with clients. I would highly recommend Steve for any endeavor he chooses to pursue.

About this pro

My goal is to empower each one of my clients by creating a nonjudgmental therapeutic environment that respects their dignity and self-worth. I utilize a biopsychosocial approach to counseling that respects your biological, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual dimensions. Therapy provides the opportunity for growth, self-discovery and insight in the context of a safe, supportive environment. Therapy often leads to better relationships, solutions to specific problems, significant reductions in feelings of distress, and an overall improved well-being.

    Q & A

    • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Rates of Service: Individual session rates are as follows according to a yearly family income: Individual                     $70            Couple and family session     $100            Types of Payment: I accept cash, checks, and credit cards. I am in network with Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare and Beacon Health.  Sliding Scale: I offer a sliding scale for various reasons. We can discuss this at your first visit. If your finances are interfering with your access to therapy, I encourage you to talk to me to discuss possible options.  I offer a limited number of recurring appointments at a variety of rates. Priority is given to current or returning clients who are undergoing financial hardships. I will discuss this on a case by case basis with each patient so we can come to an agreement about a fee that s/he can afford.   Before we meet please call your insurance provider to see what your benefits for outpatient mental health visits are. We can discuss this at your first visit. Please note that regardless of your insurance's reimbursement rate, you will be responsible for the full fee. Additionally, I am not responsible for unpaid insurance claims.   Due to my status as a non-Medicare provider, I am unable to accept persons into my practice who are covered by Medicare (either as primary or secondary). Cancellations: If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so 24 hours in advance. If you miss a session with less than 24 yours notice, we can attempt to reschedule the session in the same week. If the session cannot be rescheduled and there was not 24 hours notice, I will need to charge you the fee for the missed session. A charge of the full session is applied when appointments are missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. Missed sessions are not billable to insurance and will be charged.  Accepted Payment Methods: Cash, Check, and Credit Card.
