FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I strive to keep my price in competitive range, but not on the bottom or on the top. I have set my price based on my time for preparation, travel, set up, photographing and post processing, etc and my professional gear which has cost me thousands of dollars. For professional photos, taking photos is not all. It takes way more time to post process including selecting the best images and retouching them with professional software for the best final images. I also believe in the value I provide my clients with the photos I take, which will last forever. I always do my best to deliver to the clients the best ‘quality’ not ‘quantity’. Typically, for one hour session, I provide 15+ retouched images of high resolution (except headshot) My price is simple with just a bit of adjustment occasionally based on the client’s specific needs but I am not a fan of up-selling. I don’t really offer discount as my price is already competitively affordable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I communicate with you (customer) to fix time and place for our shoot. We discuss any questions and details that you might have in mind. Upon confirmation of the shoot, I will email you the contract, which you will send me back with your digital signature. Payment is due before the shoot and your time is not secured until you make the payment. I accept debit, credit card via Venmo and cash and other methods can be arranged based on the client's position and circumstances. During the shoot, I try my best to help you feel comfortable and just enjoy the shoot. If needed, I am more than happy to help you with poses and expressions. My ultimate goal is to capture your genuine emotion, that is, the best "natural" photos of you. I deliver the final images within seven calendar days. And you will love your photos as I do!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self-educated photographer. I've taken photos for decades since middle school and gone to workshops, watch online tutorials and learned through countless try-and-errors of my own. Eventually, my hobby has turned into profession. Now I enjoy taking all kinds of photos and I love what I do!
