About this pro
David and his crew were great! Very responsive when asking questions, even through email and texts, which were important for me because of other daytime commitments and my inability to coordinate details over the phone. All details were discussed thoroughly, and they were able to add a few extras that I didn’t think of until they were here. They were always on time and professional from beginning to end, explaining each step as they went. Their work was very detail oriented and they did a fantastic job on my popcorn removal, retexturing, and painting. Best thing is that they do a wide variety of types of construction jobs, so I’m already thinking of hiring them again for a new project. I enjoyed my experience with this company and I’m sure you will as well. ***Just as a note: they may ask for a deposit upfront in order to purchase supplies. At first this made me feel uneasy since I had never met them in person, but I did my due diligence and checked out their company beforehand after they supplied me with their company info. All turned out well and we had no issues with giving the card number over the phone. Just wanted to put that out there because I hadn’t noticed this detail mentioned in their reviews. I now feel comfortable doing that with this company. Just a little reassurance.Jul 12, 2018Verified
David's team is a high energy happy group that work quickly and do excellent work. I hired them to remove popcorn ceiling, texture and paint. They also did some dry wall patches to remove wired speakers in my kitchen, master bedroom, family room. They did a really good job and came back to finish up a couple of rough places after I'd paid them. I was impressed with their timeliness and quick work. For the most part, they were right on schedule. I think the highest compliment I can pay them, is to be willing to have them do more work. The attached pictures show ceiling texture, sealed and painted flat after popcorn removal. Not much to see, but that's what you'd want.Apr 30, 2018Verified
Updated review: When I hired Time4LSM, I was asked to give a rating - the work had not yet been completed, but I was optimistic all would go as planned. One month later, I'm still dealing with a pretty poor paint job. When Dave quoted the work to our rental condo, we asked him to include painting the patio which he measured and included in the quote. Sadly and stupidly, I did not get the quote in writing, other than the total amount. Dave and crew arrived timely and the work was done in less time than anticipated. Upon my initial 5-minute inspection, I was happy with the work. (Probably had more to do with this being the last stage of a month-long renovation and I was thrilled to be done coordinating contractors.) I was, however, shocked when I noticed the patio had not been painted. Dave said it wasn't included in the quote. I checked the invoice he'd provided at the start of the job, and sure enough, it wasn't included. I felt I was stuck paying the full amount due to my lack of observation. Live and learn. Upon closer inspection, I began to notice many issues with the paint job. There was paint overspray on all of our tools and equipment that had been left. (We'd been assured they would be protected.) There was a corner of the ceiling that had been missed. There was overspray on counters, mirrors, windows, and the sliding glass doors. Two air vents were smeared with paint and had to be replaced. I contacted Dave and asked for a partial refund. He readily agreed to refund me $200. This was on Aug. 18th. Since then, we've noticed so many other errors...where holes or damaged walls were repaired, they didn't retexture the wall with orange peel texture as promised - it was just left flat without texturing. We noticed paint on the new tile due to poor taping - we had to scrape all the paint off the tile. We also had to take tape off of hinges that was left behind. And more frustratingly, Dave has yet to provide the refund he promised. On Aug. 28th, after I initiated contact, Dave said the refund would go out before the end of the month. I've tried contacting him twice since then, and have not received a reply. I should have given more weight to some of the other reviews written and hired a different painter. I think Dave is operating on a hit and miss basis...and I got a miss.Sep 8, 2017VerifiedDavid@ T.'s reply
I really don't know where to begin especially with these outrageous allegations. Let me clarify first, upon meeting with Shannon, her & her husband tried to do self renovations by themselves but accepted a professional hand to finish all their unfinished projects. I was asked to paint the interior of this run down condo which included all baseboards, faux beams, ceilings, walls, door trim & doors which was bid at $1700.00 which includes all labor, materials, prep & paint. We did discuss the exterior block wall painting but was put on hold until confirmation based on the funding & tight budget. Upon signing the contract on 8/10/2017, I received 1/2 down from Shannon in the amount of $850.00 - at the completion of the job, I received the remaining 1/2 by personal check after our 1/2 hour walk through of the property. If I was cordially to fix any imperfections after our last walk through & payment, I would of been their the following day. As for the 3 pictures, one is valid is missing touch up in the corner. The other two showing the vents are mispresented. They were removed prior to painting the walls & ceilings. That finish was there before we started. I've always put my clients first & their final product out final goal. But to be accused of poor workmanship & business representation from a client wanting all for nothing in mind boggling. I appreciate every opinion but decline to adhere to these false accusations. My prior reviews offered freely speak for themselves. I hope all works out for Shannon & forgive them for lashing out with such a small budget with large expectations & results.
What a great group of guys. Nice, professional and FAST! David originally said the popcorn removal and texture would probably take two days and they had it basically done in one and they look amazing! We are remodeling our whole house and I look forward to working with these guys again.Jun 28, 2018Verified
David and his team were professional, on time, and worked hard to get the job done quickly. They removed the popcorn ceiling from 5 rooms, re-textured, painted, and were very accommodating when I requested last minute to add painting the doors and an additional room. Cost was very reasonable and there weren't any surprise charges. Thanks Time4LSM!Jun 26, 2018Verified
