Introduction: I have 9 years of professional teaching experience, both privately and for School of Rock in Cary, Steele Music Studios and Port City Music in Wilmington NC. I have experience teaching pretty much all ages, my youngest students having been around 4-5, all the way up to adults. I'm have professional playing and teaching experience on all 4 core instruments in the styles of Jazz, Blues, Rock ...etc. I love music, I love teaching and I love people! My skill set enables me to assist with any educational path the student is looking for, whether it be reading classical pieces or learning theory, ear training and just playing fun rock tunes. I'm passionate about harmony and rhythm, and I am a lover of music in all styles. I love being able to teach people at their own pace, and teach through song based learning so as to allow students to further enjoy the music they're playing.

Adam is a great teacher. To start, he is a personable guy; I have never found lessons overly tedious in part because he makes people feel at ease. He is also flexible to your interests and abilities in music so that you literally start learning songs and styles you like from day one. Adam's grasp of music theory and, in my case, the guitar, is routinely amazing in its complexity and depth. On multiple occasions, if I was having particular trouble with certain chords on the guitar or something like that, he was able to provide alternative methods or styles that were easier for me, which I appreciated. Not only that, he's able to break those concepts down so that even someone with little exposure to music like myself could understand it. Within a 4 months of lessons with Adam, I was able competently play entry-level songs and am still improving by the week with his help.

My boys love their guitar lessons with Adam. He tailors each lesson to their personalities / music likes and is very patient. He has really inspired them to become better guitar players. He has also been very flexible with lesson time/dates as the boys schedules are a bit hectic with sports / school, etc. So glad we found Adam!

My 4 yr old daughter had her first guitar lesson with him recently. He was ready when we arrived a few minutes early, he was very personable with with us and was very patient with my daughter when she would wander a little. Overall, it was an excellent first impression and she had already learned a little at the end of the lesson. I would definitely recommend him.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't typically offer discounts, however I am willing to do either 45 minute or 30 minute lessons, which would be considerably less expensive.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually like to get to know somebody, and gauge what sort of music they're a fan of, that way I can select material for them to work on that interests them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Piano all my childhood with various teachers, and have been playing shows professionally since I was 12.
