We STRONGLY recommend Chris of North Peak General Contracting for your home remodel. Personally and professionally, you could not ask for more...
THE JOB: We had Chris from North Peak GC do an extensive remodel of our kitchen. Chris tore down two walls, installed all new cabinets, and made a giant new island. As a part of this job, Chris put new wood flooring and trim throughout the house, a new gas stove, and a new electrical panel.
OUR TAKE: The best thing about the job was the final product; we could not be more happy. The kitchen and flooring both turned out fantastic and we still get WOWs from folks that stop by!
Besides the job, which reflects Chris' skills, the second best thing was working with Chris. When spending $$$, you want to work with someone that you can trust. Chris fit that bill and more. We found that Chris is super trustworthy, honest, and someone that makes you feel comfortable immediately. In terms of customer service, Chris made great suggestions throughout the job that saved us money and/or added features that we hadn't thought about. Also and importantly, the final price tag pretty much matched the initial estimate Chris gave us before starting the job! Wow!
Not everything was perfect about the job, but I believe the issues and delays that arose were mostly due to specific subcontractors (electrical). Seattle has a very competitive housing market and a high demand for home remodeling. Even though the electrical subcontractors would tell Chris and I that our home was priority and would make appointments to finish jobs, the electrical guys kept missing appointments. Chris and I set a deadline and we made an alternative plan, and luckily, the electrical subcontractors came through (and finished their job really, really well, actually).
Chris made up for issues that arose like with the electrical subcontractors by being super responsive and keeping us informed, and whenever I texted or called Chris, which was often, I would get a reply promptly. Communication is key to keeping customers calm when issues/delays arise, which always arise during an extensive remodel. Chris was there for us.
Overall, a couple months after the job finished, I found out Chris was moving from WA to NC in the hopes of starting a family in a more affordable area... It is a real loss for us, professionally AND personally, that Chris moved, but I believe this will be a big gain for folks in NC looking for a general contractor. We wish Chris and his future family all the best in NC.

Chris,has remodeled our master bathroom and rental properties and has always done a Great Job! We trusted Chris with the design and build and it turned out beautiful. He is very detail oriented and we trusted his judgement.
