Introduction: I tutor two students at a time instead of one. I find that the students do better this way because they’re not intimidated by being one on one with an adult and they see that other students struggle also. Also in this day and age, it is better for teachers and students to not be alone.Because I tutor two at a time, I am able to offer cheaper rates than most private tutors. I am a certified teacher and have been tutoring for 20 years. I enjoy helping struggling students to succeed in the classroom. I try to do all I can to build up their confidence, which in turn helps them to improve academically.

My daughter is dyslexic which makes math difficult. Angie knew how to address my daughter's processing issues and broke down equasions in a clear manner that my daughter could implement when working independently. In addition Angie made herself available to collaborate with my daughter's teacher to ensure consistency in the classroom and in tutoring. Angie's tutorial approach, understanding of my daughter's learning disability and over all compassion enabled my daughter to maintain a B average in math for 3 years!

Angie has helped my daughter tremendously in math and reading comprehension. Her price is right and she has all the materials to properly tutor any child in academics they need help in. My son has struggled in Pre-algebra and Algebra I classes and with AMF tutoring services, he has goes from D's to B's and now even some A's. I have seen him develop more confidence in doing the homework on his own, as well. WE have used several tutors for him over the years and overall, I believe AMF delivers the best value.

Tuition is paid monthly. Sometimes, according to how the calender falls, they may get an extra bonus lesson for no extra cost.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in special education/elementary education. I also worked at Sylvan Learning Center for three years.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I wanted to be able to stay home with my children when they were small. I had worked at Sylvan Learning Center for three years, so I was experienced in tutoring. I knew I could offer the same service a lot cheaper to families working from my home.
