- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been able to follow instructions in regards to assembling things but in 2012, I joined a close friend of mine who was involved in doing contract work for moving companies. This is how I began to learn more complicated tasks such as mounting TV's, installing light fixtures, assembling swing-sets and huge multi-station home gyms, etc.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently assembled an IKEA dresser for a customer that was shipped to them in boxes. Took me about 1.5-2 hours to assemble properly which included tacking in 2 separate sides of particle board (and actually using all the nails provided ha).
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice would be to hire someone with hands-on experience for the task you're requesting. Their work history and knowledge will make the process smoother.
