- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKING: In discussion with the event organizer, we will determine their needs, so I can put together a proposal of topics and approached to cover. Then we will bounce that proposal back and forth till we agree. The presentation and honorarium will be finalized, I create the speaker agreement for the engagement. It will include housekeeping details. I am big on audience participation and active discussion with me. Lots of research shows the effectiveness of such discussion. Or even more: 'When they're laughing they are learning.' I've had many years and experiences which have provided my knowledge and wisdom base I can share with your group. In addition, I always entertain some since laughter gets people around their standard defenses and opens them to new ideas to help them keep growing professionally and personally. COACHING: Fees vary although I usually charge $75 for one coaching session. The majority of my clients opt for discounted 10 sessions for $60 each. , or $600. Any real change usually requires at least 10 sessions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
LIFE COACHING: we will work together to address 3 questions: 1) What do you want? 2) Who do you want to become? 3) Are you willing to reconsider even your basic worldview to move forward in your life? Those are simple questions. But simple does not mean easy. The second of those 3 questions is tough, but the third one is really challenging. What I've learned over the years is that if somebody doesn't have the courage to at least tackle number 3, any progress they make will be temporary and will disappear when the coaching is over. All I am looking for is a client's attempt to get started on that one. Once I detect courage (and trust me, I will know even the slightest trace of it), I will help you figure out how much of your current way of being you need to look at differently to be more successful in life and work. You may need to give up old prejudices, even cherished ways of looking at life which may no longer serve you. But I will walk with you the whole way. In answering those three I will bring my many years of experience to bear to help you discover your new possilibilies for life and work. What you get when you hire me is my ability to motivate you, to affirm you, to clarify your issues, and to have somebody to bounce off anything you want. If you think you will shock me, think again. If you give me the chance, I will make a safe place for you to come to. MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKING: I interview the client to determine what they hope to have their participants learn or experience from the talk or seminar., then work closely with the client to ensure I cover the specific topics they request. If they could have anything, I want to know what their fondest wish would be for their group? Of course my goal is for participants to have plenty of 'take home' from our time together. Another primary goal is for the event organizer to be honored and recognized for making a good and relevant choice of a speaker. That is the very least I can do in thanks to them for choosing me to be their speaker.
