Rachel Tisdale Tutoring

Introduction: I believe in education that is about the learning, not the earning. The capacity to teach yourself a new skill and to solve problems is much more valuable than a grade or a GPA. My mission is to help every student I teach become confident in their own capacity, learn how to teach themselves through study and problem solving, and have fun as they creatively apply their knowledge. I enjoy getting to see that lightbulb moment, when a student finally understands a new concept. I chose to become a private tutor rather than a teacher because I enjoy working one-on-one with students. I am able to cater the learning to their needs and strengths. More importantly, I can help build their confidence in their abilities and their desire to learn.
