FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, if possible and the client lives nearby, I like to meet with my clients and get a sense of what their vision is for their event or session. Having face-to-face interactions allows for both of us to get to know one another better and make for more comfortable interactions when I'm shootin'.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been photographing weddings, food, events, portraits, and everything in between for over six years now. I have held multiple positions at previous jobs in which I was the hired photographer. I shadowed a successful wedding photographer for years, photographed countless school events, second-shot with fellow photographers whenever possible, and generally document any beautiful thing I come across.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My grandfather gave me one of his old digital point-and-shoot cameras for Christmas. I was fascinated by the thing, and especially loved experimenting with the camera. I discovered you could manipulate the photos by adjusting the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. I read the manual from cover to cover, learning the ins and outs of the camera. From then I was hooked.
