R.J. and Eliana Z.
DJ John is very professional and extreamly good at his trade. I was a bit nervous because our guests were from very mixed styles of music and DJ John hit it out of the park! He was very prepared and also very flexible. I absolutely loved his timeline and event planning worksheets which kept us organized and in great communication. DJ provided uplights, dance floor lights and a digital globo image projector. DJ John worked very well with our wedding planner, responded to emails and calls and was very punctual for all our meetings. We highly recommend DJ John and will hire him again without hesitation.Oct 15, 2017Verified

John Herrera really good! We all had a lot of fun and lived his playlists!May 22, 2018Verified
DJ John was always responsive to emails. Had an easy form to submit information about event, demographics of crowd, the must play list and do not play list. John was more than just a DJ that hit play on a button to each song, he mixed the music together to make the music more unique and fun. When the party was slated to end at 9:30 pm, we wanted it to keep going! He didn't miss a beat..literally. He kept the party going and was energetic the entire time! We will use him again when we are back in Chicago.Apr 26, 2018Verified

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Communication is key when working with someone you haven't met before so my first order of business is to reach out to the client either by phone or email and introduce myself. I briefly review the party details with the client and then discuss how to go about officially hiring my services for their event. A face to face meeting is not required but never turned down.
- How did you get started doing this type of work? One of my first jobs out of college was at B96 Radio where I met all kinds of interesting people including DJs, celebrities and co-workers. My friendships from that job lasted beyond my employment and after showing interest in vinyl turntables a couple of my DJ friends showed me the ropes.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Anyone looking for a DJ. Weddings, School Dances, Birthdays, Corporate Events, Holiday Parties...etc.
