My husband and I absolutely loved WeddingMix! We didn't have it in our budget to hire a second photographer or videographer but when I found WeddingMix I was very excited. We only did the app and ended up with great results from our friends and family. We ended up getting videos of all of the important moments to us and over 300 pictures of everyone having a great time. WeddingMix is a wonderful idea because one it's affordable and two you get to see your wedding through the eyes of your guests. Everyone takes pictures and videos at weddings so why not have one location where everyone can put everything! It's a pain to try to get everyone to send you everything or pull everything off social media and this app allows you to have it all in one spot. And the best part is even with the cheapest package you still get a short video of the highlights from your day!! My husband and I would definitely recommend WeddingMix to future brides and grooms!

We used WeddingMix to film and create our wedding video. I loved the idea of having our friends and family do the filming ourselves, so they could capture intimate moments from throughout the day and weekend. We haven't seen our videos yet so I can't speak to them, but I did just want to highlight how incredible they have been to work with throughout the process. We were a bit disappointed in the footage from our ceremony, because the camera did not do a good job with the rather dim lighting in our venue. This was frustrating because the footage came out almost entirely black, leaving us with nothing to use from the ceremony. When I brought this to their attention, they were extremely apologetic, immediately gave me a partial refund, and began working on the video to try and salvage it. After several weeks and a lot of effort, while it's still not perfect, they were able to restore the video to have enough light to use. It is definitely frustrating that the camera didn't work as well as it should have in the first place, but I understand that things go wrong, and WeddingMix really went above and beyond to fix this issue for us, and have been really pleasant and responsive to work with throughout the experience.

It was super fun to work together with both you and your photographer to create a unique highlight video to share on Facebook and instagram. Your feature length video on DVD is going to be stunning with those gorgeous clips of your historic church ceremony. While the 20 second clip of your processional video did initially come out black, we were able to determine that it was not caused by the camera, but by a glitch in processing the video for the web. We were able to restore it, and the rest of your ceremony footage in your church was not effected by the glitch on that one clip.

We did the $399 plan with the HD cameras. Overall the process was tedious and the final product was OK. The website account and editing areas need serious overhaul. Editing is a very large and tedious part of this (unless you pay more) and they really need a better designed editing system to view, drag, drop, and rearrange content. Carefully check your account area throughout the ENTIRE process. We had a small charge that showed up last minute that I’m glad I caught. The account area on the website is also not well designed. The cameras were fine but be aware that they have a delay from when you hit the button to when it records. We missed what could have been great moments because people handling them were unaware of this, so definitely test them out to see if that is the case with yours. Hotmail completely blocked incoming messages so we had to call them to get answers on where they were in the compiling process and to change our email provider in their system, but of course they still sent emails to the hotmail account for over a week until I had to get ahold of them again… I hate to completely blast them but we did pay over $400 for an overall tedious experience and a video that turned out just OK. I really hope we were an anomaly and others’ experiences were/are much better because this is a great alternative to hiring a very expensive videographer.

Most of our clients want to pick their own scenes in their wedding video, so they can truly personalize the video with captions and their favorite photos. The speed of the process is definitely dependent on your internet connection. Please do reach out to our customer service regarding the charge you described. We don't store credit cards and wouldn't have any way to charge your card without your approval. It sounds like you may have been the victim of some sort of fraud though. I haven't heard about a delay issue with cameras before. We test the cameras thoroughly prior to shipping them out, but will take another look at yours. I do know that when recording very long scenes, such as a ceremony, any electronic device will take a moment to record to the memory card before being able to record again. In the end, I'm glad you were able to receive a video you loved, for you to enjoy each anniversary.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After ordering, our clients and their guests can immediately begin filming their wedding planning events with the WeddingMix app. We ship out rental video cameras for the weekend of the wedding. About 6-8 weeks after the wedding, we deliver a short highlight video to share on social media. Clients have up to six months to direct their wedding video. We do all the editing. The final video with most packages is delivered both on DVD and digital download format.

Our editors are Final Cut Pro certified.
