I had a great experience with Majestic Paws throughout the entire experience. Owen/team were super responsive and the daily updates were thorough/adorable) - my coworkers even loved seeing Noir's report card! I have been with Majestic Paws for a little over a year and have loved everything about them! Owen has been great and they are very responsive and communicative of any changes that happen. The technology/platform gives great piece of mind with providing pictures, walker comments, path of walk and scan in/scan out notifications. Andrew was my walker for over a year and he was so great (that they even promoted him!). My dog is kind of anxious and Majestic Paws has been great and patient with her. Majestic paws has been wonderful! They're the best dog walking service we've worked with in Chicago and we've tried our fair share. The check in system is so cool and let's us know when the walker arrives and leaves. We also really like the comments our walker Gabe leaves daily. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?One of our managers will come meet you and your pet in your home. We will gather all necessary information about your pet and learn about your routine care. We will take notes of any special needs and instructions so we may tailor our visits to you and your pet's needs. You will receive a packet that shows proof of Insurance and Bonding, a reference list and other special documents about our company.You will provide us with 2 sets of keys during your Meet & Greet. This will help to prevent any lockouts while you are away. To complete your registration, you will make a two week deposit if you are a full-time dog client or make a payment in full if you are a cat client. Deposits for clients wanting to establish monthly service will be deducted from first month's invoice.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Our walkers and sitters have been carefully background checked, selected and trained, and most of all they love what they do.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Majestic Paws is a family run business owned and operated by Nancy & Owen. Nancy is the founder of Majestic Paws having started the company in 2008 while still in college. Having grown up around all kinds of animals, she always knew that she wanted a career in animal care, so owning Majestic Paws really is her dream come true. With experience walking dogs for other companies and with years of experience running her own dog walking company, Nancy is in charge of the day-to-day operations for Majestic Paws along with managing and maintaining all client relationships. Owen joined Majestic Paws in 2015 when they took over the operations of Chicago Urban Tails. With a bachelors degree in accounting, an MBA in operations management and years of high level industry experience, Owen helps with the day-to-day operations while also being in charge of all financial and administrative work. Nancy and Owen have a 2 year old daughter Savannah, a 9 year old giant schnauzer named Diamond, and a 5 year old golden retriever named Jasper. When they are not working on Majestic Paws or taking their own dogs to the park, they stay busy by playing sports (mainly basketball and tennis), and spending family time with Savannah around the city.
