I recently hired Mobile Services to help with my move and was disappointed with service as the two hours progressed. Additionally, I called to speak with the owner about my experience and received no call back. I would assume that (like most businesses) they would like to know how their customers felt and if there was anything that could be approved upon. I hired Mobile Services based on the ease and reviews I had seen online (Thumbtack). The men I was connected/contracted with were nice, but careless with my items. I watched them slide small kitchen appliances into the moving truck, pack boxes of books on top of boxes marked FRAGILE (picture frames) in my storage unit and scratch up two pieces of my furniture (a coffee table and my dresser drawer). The older man was also very concerned with payment and made sure to mention several times that I should not include the tip with the original payment because of how long it would take for them to be reimbursed. When asked to fill out paperwork after the move was complete, I felt like I couldn't give an honest review with them watching over my shoulder. The older man tried to charge me for 2.5 hours of work when the move realistically only took 2 hours. They arrived after the 10:30am appointment time and didn't start moving my items until around 10:45am. We finished the move at 12:51pm. I said I was more than happy to pay for the extra 6 minutes of work, but I was NOT going to pay for an extra half hour especially when they were not on time. Additionally, at the end of my move, it was difficult to get in touch with the owner (Derrick W.) of Mobile Services to send payment. We spent ~10-15 minutes waiting for a callback from him to send payment. The help was GREATLY appreciated, but I would have loved a little more appreciation and respect for my items.May 30, 2017Verified
