Introduction: Teaching:
I provide a comprehensive approach to trumpet teaching with an emphasis on fundamentals of the instrument. I am a patient and caring teacher and want to be the person a student looks forward to seeing! My thorough study and appreciation of all genres of music allows me to adjust my teaching style to each student and introduce them to all the possibilities the instrument provides. I have a deep understanding of music theory and improvisation and am excited to work with students who are interested in developing as composers and improvisers as well.
Performance:
I perform regularly with a quintet as well as in a duo and trio setting. I have a deep knowledge of Jazz and love to play. I have performed for weddings, private parties, venues, restaurants and bars. Some notable performances include the 2017 Chicago Jazz Festival, Andy's Jazz Club, the Jazz Showcase, and WGN news. My groups can perform everything from intimate and relaxed jazz standards to upbeat Bebop. Our music works well in any setting! Please contact me for more information.
I am passionate about music and teaching. I love to see students improve and make it my mission for them to learn to enjoy making music of their own. I have been called to performing since a young age and love to play the trumpet.
