Introduction: Study with me and learn to play all types of music including: Blues, Rock, Soul, Pop, Folk, Jazz and Classical. All beginning students are welcome - hobbyists, budding musicians, etc. Teaching piano and guitar to the beginning student - children 5+ and adults. Lessons include music theory, sight reading, and performance technique. I'll give you the skills to play any song you hear on radio, Spotify, or Itunes.

I've been studying with Miss Brown for a few years now. I had always wanted to play piano so when I retired I took lessons with her. Now I'm learning to play guitar. She makes everything easy to understand. I'm learning so much. Really nice and great teacher!

I been looking for a teacher and this one teacher my son learn nothing. So I looked for and found Emily Brown. My son has gotten really good and he learns a lot and plays guitar all the time. He gets to play all kinds of songs. He really likes her as a teacher. I definitely recommend Emily.

It's been eight years since Emily taught our son to play piano and for the past year she's been teaching him to play guitar. Also, my wife and I are now taking guitar lessons with Emily. We are learning to play all kinds of music like rock, blues, classical, etc. I would definitely recommend her as a guitar and piano teacher. She absolutely rocks!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I find out what type of music the customer is interested in learning. I also ask about their level of playing. Working with beginners, I make sure they learn everything they need to know about playing guitar or piano.

Bachelors Degree - Music at Columbia College in Chicago Music Theory - Berklee Online
