About this pro
I am a licensed acupuncturist and a certified asian body therapist. I have been in the field of alternative medicine since 2000, first doing bodywork and later adding acupuncture and complimentary therapies such as cupping and gua sha. I studied here in Chicago and also trained in Thailand for my Thai bodywork skills. I dedicate most of my time to my practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine but enjoy sharing the benefits of massage and bodywork in and out of the clinic, where I practice - Healing Foundations at Roscoe village, Chicago. I have been in practice for over a decade, and I enjoy knowing that my clients feel rejuvenated after a session, be it acupuncture or massage. I always learn new techniques to improve my practice and give my patients and clients the best I can offer.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I have different pricing for traveling to you vs. you coming to see me at the clinic. I value my time, and charge accordingly. When you hire me you are getting years of experience and my full attention to your needs. If you'd like to save on your treatment, book your appointment at my location. But, I am always happy to offer the convenience of a treatment at your location.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to get to know my clients and patients. If we are setting up an acupuncture treatment I will be asking many questions to find out what is the underlying issue which brought on the problem/s at hand. For massage I do a similar, but shorter intake. It all depends of what you are trying to get out of the treatment. Dealing with pain is different than dealing with stress, and I treat accordingly. Healing is a process, and I assist along the journey.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a masters degree in Chinese medicine an a bachelors in nutrition. I have years of hands-on experience with both acupuncture and bodywork. My favorite style of massage is Thai massage, which I studied both here in Chicago and in Thailand. "Thai massage" or "Thai yoga massage" is an ancient healing system combining acupressure and assisted yoga postures. Traditional Thai massage uses no oils or lotions. The recipient remains clothed during a treatment. There is constant body contact between the giver and receiver, but rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked. My clients describe the end results as feeling like a "cooked noodle"
