She did a great job on the cut it self. She did the cut how I wanted. But some how my dog was burned with the shears on his butt. He was really unhappy for a few days after. I was hoping she was the girl.Oct 5, 2018Verified
I have an older problem dog. She did a great job on him and at a good price.Mar 23, 2018Verified
I was looking for a good dog groomer who has experience with goldendoodles. I was so happy to to have found Tessa and very happy with my Mini goldendoodle’s haircut and bath. My 9month old puppy is a bit squirrelly at the groomers to the point where she nips at the groomer during her ear cleaning. We picked her up and she looked great and happy and Dixie didn’t give her a hard time at all. She got a lot of compliments on her haircut from other doodle parents. We will definitely be taking her back to Tessa.Nov 12, 2017Verified

First let me say I was very nervous about finding a new groomer for my Havanese. He's 5 years old, terrible with other dogs, and decently anxious around new people. That being said, Tessa responded to my request within a few hours describing her set up, pricing, and some of her background. Furthermore after explaining to her my concerns about my dog (having the same groomer for 4 years it's been a while) she reassured me and agreed to an appointment the very next day. Throughout the appointment she sent me texts updating me on his progress and any issues he had and how she solved them. I just got my Bear back and he smells great, she was able to clean up most of the discoloration around his eyes, mouth, and feet. I have checked him up and down and don't see any nicks or cuts. He isn't limping (previous bad groomer attempt....long story) and now he's just curled up on my lap sleeping. Thank you so much again Tessa for a great experience for both me and my baby. I'll see you again in a few weeks!Sep 27, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I base my pricing off of products used and time it will take to complete the project. For example, if there is extensive matting or that coat is compacted it will take more time to shave under the matts/brush the animal out and cause me to add other steps to the grooming process (which extends the time of the overall service).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to know how the client likes their dog to look and, if it's something I can make happen, I will. I will not extensively dematt a dog and cause it unnecessary pain and suffering when hair will grow back. Humanity before vanity.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Technical on the job training with a master groomer who'd been grooming 30+ years and specialized in poodles. Being in the grooming industry you never stop learning new techniques or styles, a good groomer is always looking to perfect their skill.
