FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In grooming it's hard to say that there is standard pricing because every dog is different their reaction is different their coats are all different many of them may get the same haircut but getting to that haircut may be more difficult for some dogs than others. There is a basic price range that I can give most people for their animals like a small dog for a full groom would be between 35 and 45, A medium dog would be 45 to 50 for a full groom 35 for a deshed bath and toenail trim, large breeds are 65 and up for a full groom 55 and up for a de shed, d-mat and scissor trim. Extra large dogs there'll be a consultation on the first visit price varies by coat condition and temperament of the dog. Cats for a full groom ranges between 45 and 70 that is greatly dependent on coke condition and how well the cat tolerates The Grooming process if the cat is very very difficult it will be in the high range with the calm cat you can look for a lower price. For a bath simple brush out and toe nail trim on a cat is usually between 35 and 40
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet them and their pets see what kind of condition the pet is in discuss the owners wants as far as grooming goes. Get to know the pet a little bit and discuss what I can realistically do with the animal based on the condition it's in and how it responds to The Grooming process. I explain to them the various options they have as for shampoos, conditioning, treatments, teeth cleaning Etc. I then explained to them the pricing the difference between the price of a short hair dog and the difference between the price of a short hair dog that has a heavy undercoat different types of breeds of dogs are different prices there's a lot of things involved in the initial meeting.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started out as a bather, in a very popular salon, where I was then trained by a competition groomer to groom when they thought I was ready. I started grooming dogs on my own and that's what I've been doing ever since and I love it
