Introduction: I have a degree in piano performance with a double major in vocal performance. I also have a Master's Degree in Music Theory. I play classical, jazz, pop, rock, and gospel music and enjoy teaching students in a method that encompasses the musical style they love. I cannot teach passion for music, but I can help inspire and fuel a passion that already exists. Currently my full time job is as a church musician. Every week I play rhythm guitar, keys, and drums. My goal is to train my students to be capable of learning on their own. Every student should get to a level of self-teaching so that they don't need me to show them how to do something. I enjoy when a student is able to learn a new piece entirely on their own and then come to me for coaching on how to play the piece more articulately.

Daniel is an exceptional music instructor who adapts his style to the needs and interests of his students. Under his guidance, my children have learned to love music and performance. They have grown tremendously as musicians and now have a passion for a variety of instruments. I highly recommend Daniel for musicians of any level who hope to grow. Daniel is a fantastic pianist and more importantly he will adapt his teaching style to his student's ability and age. My son takes piano lessons with Daniel, and he thoroughly enjoys them. Daniel is attentive and approachable. Any questions that I have had about the lessons or my son's progress, he has been happy to address and provide insight and advice to help us get the most out of the process. He is flexible and willing to work with us when something comes up to interrupt our schedules. I also trust Daniel's integrity and I appreciate that my son has a wonderful male role-model that is speaking positively into his life.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically I charge $24/half hour or $40/hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to make the first meeting very informal and try to get a feel for the level of experience that the student has. I want to find out what the goals are for taking music lessons and then put together a plan to meet those goals together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's in Piano Performance and Vocal Performance and a Master's in Music Theory. Currently I lead worship for my church by singing, playing piano, guitar and sometimes drums.
