Before you pick this company based on internet reviews, realize that they give $20 discount to make a review before they leave. I'm changing mine now after I talked to people about a typical experience with a moving company. They sent three teenagers (or very early 20's). Because they were 40 minutes early (without calling me first) I was busy clearing stuff for them to take out. I found them hanging out in the truck twice (one guy securing stuff, and the other two talking). Our idea was to hire them for the big stuff. But my parents paid a very similar price with a different company and had twice as much to move, including giant cabinets, big beds and sofas, dining room table. We had none of this. These guys moved about ten pieces of furniture for us, a few pieces only required one guy. And about 15-25 boxes and small things. I brought a few things out to the truck myself because they didn't have the hustle I've seen in other movers. I'm 8.5 months pregnant. They couldn't get the dryer out of the door so they shoved it, creating a dent in the back. Whatever though, it isn't a nice one. They broke off some of the veneer on my dead grandmother's dresser by pushing it along our wood floors and floor in the truck instead of lifting it. They were careful about the floors we just refinished in the new house though. All in all, we got the big stuff moved. But this week after, moving the rest of our house ourselves is exhausting. To think we could have gotten this all moved and done with a more professional mover. Oh and also had us initial a sheet saying that they weren't responsible for ANYTHING (with at least 15 items listed to initial). Thinking that's not normal...
