I worked with Kim in a prior position for approximately 12 years in my roles of Sr. Project Manager and Director of IT, during which she was of great assistance in many of our IT projects. Our implementations and projects always required a communications plan for change management. Kim executed those plans flawlessly, but her value added was: 1) understanding the end-users audience and how to best communicate technology to them, 2) writing communications pieces that were concise and easy-to-understand, and 3) often bringing insights to our discussions that would uncover new aspects of the implementation (how to use new features, how to address the removal of old features, etc.). In short, her contributions enhanced the quality of each system implementation or upgrade project. In addition, Kim was my go-to expert whenever I needed to write specific communications, from memos to PowerPoint presentations, as she always provided the audience perspective that I needed.

Kim and I are former colleagues at the Sewer District. I am the Manager of Procurement Services and she was the Communications and Community Relations Manager.
Since I am a numbers person, writing has never been my strong suit. So I have had Kim help me write many documents.
Kim has the unique ability to combine information from multiple resources and was instrumental in editing and proofreading my writing.

I worked with Kim on consulting projects for the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) during the period of 2009- 2012. Kim was the Manager of Community Relations, and served as the point person for projects involving survey research designed to gauge customer perceptions about the NEORSD.
Kim did an excellent job at managing complicated projects. She kept us up to date regarding deadlines and expectations, and connected us with a variety of staff at the NEORSD as needed. Through these projects, Kim demonstrated clear, concise writing. She provided excellent feedback about draft reports for each of the surveys (there were four during this period, with the last being a larger survey project that included four surveys and eight focus groups). Her abilities as an editor and project manager were evident in the positive response of the NEORSD executive leadership and board to the final reports for these projects.
I highly recommend Kim for her quality work in the areas of writing, editing, and project management. The BW Community Research Institute has grown in scope in part due to the success of the NEORSD projects that Kim managed, and for which we are grateful.
