FAQs
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I am an honest trainer that practices what I teach, many do not and there for skill standard and professionalism in the field is low in the industry, in the US you can purchase a personal trainer certificate for as little as $250, and time to complete the qualification is as little as 2 days (be aware of that fact and if they do not look elite then they are not)...My qualification took 4 years of college education and a degree, plus 2 books written, magazine features and TV appearances (please note that the majority of personal trainers are not up to standard at all) I also have a total of 5 winning national titles and have competed at international level for my country. I have worked World wide, as my skills in the industry have made that possible.....The fitness industry in the US is like a sea of under qualified, low skilled but very good sales pitch talking trainer....Please understand a trainer can literally tell you anything to get your money. I have been in the industry 14 years now and watched a lot of people come and go, clients have come to me after staying with their trainer for up to 2 years and seeing no results (nutrition is a major part and hardly any trainers are also nutritionist, of which I am also)....The question you need to ask your trainer is 'What are your accomplishments in the fitness industry?'....'why are you not in the peak of physical fitness and strength, if you are to train me?' (the majority are not actually in shape) and 'can you show me your latest client results please?' this should be a substantial body transformation with visible results in around 6-8 week time frame....if not then they don't get results and will keep taking money from you and talking a very good talk as you are just another meal ticket to them.....Be safe and don't get ripped off. Go with a highly qualified pro, which are around 1 in 50 now IMO in the US, so do research first and talk this as friendly advice to mind.
