About this pro
Trisha is amazing! She is extremely passionate about what she does and puts you in a moment of zen that you'll think about all day! She is supportive, knowledgable, helpful and makes you feel so comfortable! I'm certainly a beginner when it comes to Yoga and there are certain parts that are very difficult for me but Trisha walks me through them personally. When I finish, I feel motivated, excited, proud of myself and ready to come back to it! Good job Trish! Keep up the good work!Apr 27, 2016

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I prefer to connect before the initial appointment to understand what my client is really looking to achieve, physically, emotionally and/or spiritually. This way I can come prepared with a customized program. At the first appointment, we will talk for a few minutes to dive even deeper into your goals. I typically start practice with pranayama (breathing exercises) and then we move into the asana (pose) practice. The pace and level of class will depend on what you are interested in and capable of. Some students may want to focus on breathing, stretching and relaxation while others may want more cardio and strength building and futhermore, some may want a combination of all benefits that yoga can provide. The main point is that I will develop a practice that is tailored to fit your exact needs and desires.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have 5 years of yoga experience, including working under a well-known yogi in Siesta Key, Florida and completing 200 hour Teacher Training in Ko Pah Ngan, Thailand. I am an independent teacher, specializing in private sessions and small groups.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I started practicing yoga due to a diagnosis of arthritis in my mid-twenties. Following knee surgery, I became an avid practitioner. I had always been an athlete and involved in many physical activities and yoga quickly proved to be my favorite of them all. While I initially started for the physical benefits (gain strength, lose weight, improve balance, improve flexibility), I started to notice the emotional and spiritual impact that this moving meditation had. Yoga provides me with daily benefits that I didn't even know were possible to gain through this practice a few years ago.
