- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer affordable pricing for Thumbtack customers. Normally, my photo session is $175 and does not include products or digital files. However, I feel that everyone deserves to have quality pictures of their pets, regardless of their budget. That's why I've decided to offer affordable pricing to Thumbtack customers.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we will have a pre-session where we’ll talk about what kind of pictures you would like to end up with. Portrait or candid action shots? What kind of pet? How many pets? Humans with pets? Also, I want to learn as much about your pet as possible. What is Fido like? What does he like to do? What is his favorite activity? That way I can build the session to fit Fido’s character. After I gather all the information, we will schedule a session. I usually don't have a time limit on a photo session. I try to make it fun for the dogs. We cuddle, we roll on the ground and we take some awesome pictures of happy dogs. I want the dogs to be relaxed and enjoy every moment of their photo session. I watch out for signs of stress. You can easily tell when the dog is done with the session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm not a wedding, newborn, or portrait photographer. I solely focus on photographing pets. I've attended workshops and taken photography classes focused strictly on pets. Just like you don't want me to take pictures of your wedding, you should not be hiring a wedding photographer to take pictures of your pets.
