Matt just did our wedding just a few weeks ago and it couldn't have been better! Every transition of events during our reception went seamlessly. He read the crowd's vibe without issues and kept the people up and dancing. We highly recommend his service for any event you may have because there will be no disappointments when you work with Matt.Dec 18, 2018Verified
Working with Matt was an absolute joy! He took all the stress away and made the day fun. Matt’s level of dedication to his clients were off the chart. We can’t express our gratitude enough. Without a doubt if you are looking for someone to give their absolute best and to really liven up your event...Matt is your guy! WORTH EVERY PENNY, great guy, great music, great time!!!!Oct 16, 2018Verified
Matt was wonderful! He was very communicative throughout this process and showed so much enthusiasm regarding our party from start to finish. He arrived on time to set up. He was great with the children and all of my guests could not stop raving about him, the music choices and lighting (the lighting was impressive). We have held these parties for 9 years now and are very picky about our music. I must say that we have already booked him for our next Halloween House Party. Matt you are truly a professional and your passion for what you do shines through. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!Oct 24, 2017Verified
Matt did an awesome job to make the wedding such an enjoyable event.Oct 17, 2018Verified
Matt was a superb professional. I was a little let down that music I suggested was never played. My guests we’re looking forward to hearing the songs they had requested. Line music should always be played back to back to keep the party flowing and the guests on the dance floor. However, when a song was requested on the spot he did his best to oblige. I liked his cool demeanor and his professionalism.Sep 23, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My standard pricing is generally as follows: $150hr for full MC/DJ services. Uplighting additional $25 per hour Dance lighting additional $25 per hour Custom gobo projection a flat $100 fee That said, I usually look at a gig requirements\location\duration and just quote a flat fee. Since I spend money to send quotes here on Thumbtack I generally quote a little less as I'm trying my best to be competitive.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Once a new client has decided on my services, we'll meet for coffee or similar and go over the details of the event. During this meeting, I'll usually retain my deposit (if I haven't already), and sign the contract (if we haven't already.) I also supply the client with an online editable Google spreadsheet that they can access and update any custom playlists they may have. At this meeting I generally try and schedule when I can see\walk the venue. This helps ensure there are no surprises come the event. Once that's done I'll touch base with the client a few times leading up to the event to ensure that all goes smoothly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? All my friends, family and colleagues have come to me at one time or another asking "Who does that song?" or "Do you have any bands like XYZ?" or "Why won't Zeppelin just tour with John Bonham's son and just cash in?" It never fails. I've a strong knowledge of many music genres and as a DJ I get to do the one thing I love, playing music for people. My education and training would have come from many a house party\wedding reception or corporate gig from the mid 90's to present.
