Alex has been providing piano lessons to our son for almost a year and a half. We have been so impressed with our son's progress during this time. Alex has challenged him to learn complicated pieces and has instructed him in music theory. He makes learning the piano fun and interesting while challenging our son to grow as a musician. We could not be more pleased with ours son's progress and Alex as a teacher. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a piano instructor for their child!

Alex Posmontier played piano for my wedding ceremony and the music was exceptional. He was able to arrange our song selections for himself and a cellist and their performance was beautiful, emotive, and memorable. Alex's playing during the procession and recession complimented the atmosphere of the event and many guests exclaimed that it was nothing short of moving and joyous. Alex was a pleasure to work with and was amenable to all of our requests. I would highly recommend his piano accompaniment for anyone interested in wedding ceremony music.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For events, the price ranges depending on how many musicians will be in the band. Base prices are as follows, and are negotiable. Solo Piano - $150/hr Duo (piano + bass) - $200/hr Trio (duo + drums) - $250/hr Quartet (trio + horn or vocals) - $300/hr Larger bands - call for price For piano students, prices are as follows: 30 minute Lesson - $35 + travel* 45 minute Lesson - $45 + travel* 1 Hour Lesson - $60 + travel* *for students requiring a commute, travel fees may be added ($5-10 per lesson) ***Discounts are available for multiple lessons (siblings, parent/child, etc).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will first ask the customer what they're looking for, and then describe what I can offer. If we agree to services, I will send out a contract via e-mail, and ask for a returned contract with a signature and a deposit (if necessary).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 15+ years experience performing in private and public spaces. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Gettysburg College. I am actively taking piano lessons myself in an effort to continuously improve my playing.
