FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on square footage, but I have charged under a $1.00 per square footage, given condition of walls and height. I think some pricing (I've seen $2.00...and higher..a square foot) etc... is just too high. I consider the time it will take as well, and condition of walls. If priming is needed to cover a dark color, that may up the price but not much. I like giving people a decent price, I love painting and interior design... it's a win for everyone.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process starts with making contact via email or phone... We then discuss the job details a bit, most of the time set up an appointment to meet in person go over exactly what the wants and needs are. I take a color wheel with me... (in case they've not picked out their colors) and do a color consultation (In some cases I get the paint for them (as I get discounts on paint). We then set up a time and date to get started.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I really enjoy all of my projects, most of my jobs are interior/exterior painting, some deck work (lattice installation/ staining), and some backsplash work, but they're all unique, and I love seeing the transformation... and the satisfaction and wow it brings my customers. I am an artistic person, it's a passion to create and transform almost anything, and I am most definitely a perfectionist, i pay attention to detail, that has really given me the success and love for this particular profession. I've always been in clerical positions, banking, and management... interior painting was never a plan, but... it was the best decision I could have made! I love working with people, I'm a people pleaser... there's no amount of money that can buy a sincere compliment on not only your quality of work, but also your integrity, work ethic and pleasing personality. All while doing something you absolutely ENJOY doing! And, I love meeting new people... I've stayed in contact with a couple of my past clients. I would have to say my favorite part is seeing the transformation, and how happy the customers are. I always get the project completed in the time frame the customer requests, or needs it done, I help with color consulting if they haven't chosen colors (which I love being apart of). True hard work, integrity, passion and genuine desire to make customers happy... has all ABSOLUTELY been the key to my success and has truly paid off in ways I didn't imagine.
